Introductory guide to NFC

On this website you can find downloadable slides that aim to help in the identification process of nocturnal bird flight calls (NFC). Using data summarised from Xeno-canto.org, these slides aim to narrow down the number of possible species during the ID. Hence, they should not be used as the definitive guide.

The slides are available for download by clicking on each picture. Once downloaded, click on Read only on the Password window. On your smartphone, you will need the Microsoft Powerpoint official app in order to see the content correctly and play the audios.

The slides were created by Oriol Baena and Robert Manzano under the Oriol de Bolòs 2019 scholarship from Museu dels Volcans d’Olot and Institut de Cultura de la Ciutat d’Olot and with the support of Consorci d’Espais d’Interès Natural del Ripollès, Alar Ecology and Dodotronic.

If you have any problem downloading the slides you can also find them here.
